Do you wonder how to easily get back to blogging?

I can’t believe that my blog is ten years old. I mean if it was a person I would have cut it a key for the house and possibly be trusting it to not set fires in the house when I run up to the corner store for a jug of milk. I know that I haven’t been the most attentive to it at times because getting back into blogging is a lot harder than I thought and thankfully I am not alone.

Back in the early days of blogging I connected with so many amazing because they all invited you into their virtual living room to share their lives with each other. This was before Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and many of the other social media platforms that have come and gone over the years. A decade is a long time when it comes to that.

As I chat with those who aren’t actively blogging anymore most of them share this sentiment: I want to get back into writing, but I have no idea how to do it. I’m thankful that I am not alone in this struggle.

So how again am I getting back into blogging?

While trying to map out my next few months on my editorial calendar I realized that this Sunday is the beginning of Daylight Savings Time. Two things are sure to happen after Daylight Savings Time begins; we will lose an hour of sleep and we will share how this has upended our life through grumpy statuses and memes.

While I am all for a good meme, why don’t we take our energy and spring back into our blog?

You’re kidding, right?

Five Days of PromptsSee this handy dandy (and pretty) list for your writing prompts for the week.

Day One: Reintroduce yourself. You can use this information to update your About Me page because chances are you need to update that too.

Day Two: Share with your readers why you started writing on your blog. Ten years ago Heather started writing…well, I will save that for next week.

Day Three: Wordless Wednesday. Remember Wordless Wednesday? It was a day to quietly share an image of something going in our life. Did you know that it’s still around? Mr. Linky and all, we are truly going to take it back old school.

Day Four: Where can we find you now? Do you still share on social media? Did Instagram eat your blog? We would love to know where we can follow you aside from your blog.

Day Five: Flashback Friday. You’ve written some great things that are buried in your archives. Find one of your favorite posts, polish it up, and repost it so we can all agree that you are one kick a$$ writer.

I’ve even created a Facebook group so that we can share ideas, posts, and those memes for how we really feel about DST. You can join by clicking here. And there may be a giveaway for those who participate throughout the link.

I hope you will join me in dusting off your blog and getting back to it. Let me know in the comments if you are going to join in and a blog that you miss. You never know, the person who wrote it may see this!
