Here I am realizing that it is Thursday and the few days ago that I posted that I would update have long since passed. But here are the long awaited (that might be a stretch) pics from Chicago.
The city was so beautiful, I loved the tall buildings, the night lights, the hustle and busy-ness. I just loved it all. I really enjoyed driving in Chicago as well. It was fun and definetly kept me on my toes!
I was able to go the the Art Institute while we were there. I was so excited as it was Free Feb while I was there. I would have payed to go in, but free…great! I was so excited to see so many painting and sculptures I had only looked at in books. I loved seeing them in 3D. The textures on the paintings were amazing. I found myself staring at them from the side just so I could see the texture. I really wanted to reach out and touch them, but my friend, David, assured me that if I touched the painting that I would not be allowed to touch anymore and I might not be welcome back…LOL!
I also went to Knitche…..okay the outside of it. Their website said that their knit night normally went on until 9 or 9:30 PM, well I got there on knit night around 9:05 and they were counting down their cash register. We hung outside and David even knocked…but to no avail. I was going to use the “I drove all the way from Ohio just to come to your store line,” but I think they saw it in my eye and never did come to the door. I think I may have made them a touch uncomfortable with the picture taking from the outside. We saw, but did not conquer Knitche….oh well, when I return this summer I will try to go again!
Later I will do up the Letter ‘D’. Here’s a hint…it is something Blue….any guesses. If you post to my comments and get it right I will give you a little prize. Something yarn related…or spinning related if you are a spinner. Let others know as well….we can make it fun!
Okay off to Giggles Choir Concert….see you all later!!

Hmm… this is tough… is your car a dodge?
I’m really not sure. can’t wait to see!
I know nothing about spinning, all I can think of is the word drop spindle, maybe you have a blue drop spindle.
Love your pic of the lion! Too bad about the yarn store. And no, don’t touch the museum stuff, how would you ever keep this blog up while in jail lol
nope, but keep guessing….I was hoping to pull more people out, but I will have to do that with a freebie giveaway that isn’t so time sensitive (seeings how I am late for the D post….) So gals guess until your heart is content…Heehee!
I saw your entry in the free apron give away on Loralee’s blog, and thought I’d pop by to let you know I can TOTALLY make a custom apron for ya if you don’t win the freebie! (I am the Saucy Frocks chick!) Stop by my shop

and let me know what you want!

I am going to go to bed tonight dreaming of all those cookies you know…
*sigh* Samoas…
Hello, Yes, I do use a pattern for the jammie bottoms. It’s Simplicity #4418, one of their “easy” patterns, I bought it a couple of years ago, not sure if it’s still around. It’s basically two pieces, the front and back are one piece, you sew up the inner leg, then the center seam of the part on the belly, then flip over the top and sew a casing leaving a a little opening for the tie thing, add elastic and/or a tie (I add both, don’t want them to fall down, lol), and hem them.
You’re very welcome regarding the jammie pattern! Have fun with them, I know I am having fun making them. I’d like to make oh about 50 more, lol! Can’t wait to see the curtains when they are done.
