What happens when ten year old Chicken realizes that you are photographing her for the sole purpose of being on the blog….well you get this

Chicken Says “This is my Hat makes me look cool pose”

Krystal has a new friend out there because Chicken says “Peace from Ohio, Krystal” I didn’t have the heart to tell Chicken that Krystal too is in Ohio.

When trying to get a back shot of the hat, Chicken throws herself up against the neighbors garage and says, “Yum, Yum this garage door smells good” What a geek!

Safe to say that Chicken loves the hat!! She saw me knitting the band on the new hat I am doing and asked “Hey when are you going to be done with my hat?” I replied, “what?!!?” She says, “Mom you never knit me any hats!” I said “You are wearing it on your head right this instant…what is wrong with you?!” She says “but you made this for you, not me” Ugh……LOL, I shook my head and walked away!

Went to the dentist this morning…it was awesome! Such a great staff, so pleasant and better yet…no cavaties!! She said I have excellent oral health and it shows that I floss! How cool is that. As I was leaving the dentist I saw a new Christian book store where some copy shop used to be (which happens to be right around the corner from my house) I went in and it was AWESOME!! I ended up buying a book for my mom and I to do a bible study with. I had my own copy, but I needed to get her one. I got a new bible bag as mine ripped. I got these devotional cards for the girls and I got this card game for Alexis asking her random questions. All for less than $50!! Woohoo! I talked to the lady, Linda, forever….she was so nice and I am so excited that this shop opened up. As I was in the parking lot I said a little prayer for the new business there. I know that it will succeed and it was just what the area needed!

Oscar the dog and Carli the (devil)cat are true buds. They are with each other most of the time, much to Giggles disappointment. She really doesn’t like Oscar (or Bubba as I call him), she liked him until dh said we could keep him, then well Oscar had an accident in Giggles room and the relationship has been strained ever since. Carli was adopted by Giggles from Love A Stray. She saved up the money to pay for her adoption costs and the money for her vet visit. I was really proud of her for being able to do that. So when she says that the cat is hers…we all agree. That is except Bubba! He and Carli wrestle on the ground, play tag, and yes snuggle on the couch together. One of her favorite pastimes is to wait around the corner for him and then spring out at him all crazy. Each time she does this he really is surprised and jumps! It is a riot! And Oscar never barks, okay not never…but hardly barks. You get a yip from him every now and again. But sometimes in the middle of the day when they are playing on the stairs he will bark at her. Everytime he does it he jumps because the sound startles him. I think the cat laughs at him silently when he does this. When Oscar is outside, Carli is waiting for him by the door. When Oscar gets kenneled up on occasion, she is on top of his kennel with her paws touching his head through the bars. (boy does that sound awful!)

In knitting news. I did finish the Fake Fair Isle hat. I liked it, but Chicken claimed it before it was off the needles. So I guess I will make myself another hat. I have a couple patterns I was eyeing up. I did have to make some twisty things for the top of the hat at Chicken’t request. Hopefully after school we will have a photo shoot or something because she ripped the hat out of my hands as soon as it was finished!

Well off to clean up the Basement (another B word) So I can post an update tomorrow!! Happy knitting!
